“Curiosity in my mind, discipline in my body, and service in my heart.”

My name is Salma Mohammed Altamimi, and I am a Grade 11 International Baccalaureate student at Abu Dhabi International School – Academic Track.

I have a strong passion for science, particularly biology, and I aspire to pursue a future in medicine or in a field that combines healthcare with artificial intelligence. I am especially interested in how emerging technologies can improve diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.

I was born in Jordan and raised in the United Arab Emirates, an environment that has played a significant role in shaping my character. Growing up in such a diverse and forward thinking country has strengthened my curiosity, ambition, and ability to adapt to different perspectives and cultures.

Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently aimed for excellence. I have been recognized as a Distinction Student and have received awards for Outstanding Academic Attainment and AIS Learner Excellence.

Beyond academics, I value a well rounded lifestyle. I actively engage in sports, creative activities, leadership opportunities, and community service. These experiences have helped me develop discipline, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility, all of which continue to shape both my personal growth and future aspirations.

Community Service

Community service has always been an important part of my life.

One of my earliest initiatives began when I was only nine years old, when I organized my first charity book fair at home. I invited friends and neighbors to participate, and we collected and sold books to raise funds for charity. All the proceeds were donated to support community initiatives. This experience taught me the value of initiative, generosity, and helping others.

Since then, I have continued participating in various volunteer activities, including:

Supporting children during summer camps

Ramadan meal distribution programs

Participation in the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Run

Red Crescent food packing initiatives

Participation in the School Eco Club
